MCM Comic Con (11th – 12th March)

Returning after its 2016 debut, MCM Comic Con Liverpool will return to the Exhibition Centre in March.

The two-day festival will celebrate everything from sci-fi shows, comic creators and eSports to anime, manga and cosplay. There will also be the opportunity to meet special guests from the worlds of TV, film and gaming.

Comic Con is a must for any fan of movies, comics, video games, sci-fi, anime, or cosplay.

Music (Various Dates)

2017 looks set to be a great year for music in Liverpool. With artists as diverse as Little Mix, Take That and Blink 182 coming to the city this year, there’s sure to be something for fans of every genre.

In the summer, Liverpool will also play host to a number of star-studded festivals such as Liverpool International Music Festival and Fusion Festival. With last year’s instalments featuring performances from artists such as Jason Derulo, Sigma and Busted, this year’s festival schedule looks set to delight festival goers from around the country.

Comedy (Various Dates)

With renowned comedians such as Jack Whitehall, Russell Howard, John Bishop and Ricky Gervais set to come to the city this year, there are plenty of comedy highlights to look forward to.

LightNight Liverpool 2017 (19th May)

After delighting and entertaining over 72,000 visitors last year, the late night arts and culture festival will return this year with a whole new theme: Time.

The festival provides the opportunity to explore Liverpool along a trail of light projections – with world-class galleries, museums and public spaces open late for a free showcase of the city’s arts and culture.

With something to excite all ages, LightNight Liverpool: Time is sure to be a hit when it comes to the city in May.

Liverpool Pride (Date TBC)

After a reimagining last year, Liverpool Pride further cemented its name as an outstanding celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.

This year promises to be no different, with the annual Pride March, food, drink, and entertainment, as well as activities for the whole family.

Look out for this year’s installment when it comes to the city in the summer.
