International Festival of Business

From 13th June – 1st July the UK’s biggest business festival returns to the Exhibition Centre. The IFB 2016 will see the world’s most influential business leaders, entrepreneurs, free-thinkers and investors come together for three themed weeks centred around targetting Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, and Creative & Digital.
There will be a packed programme, including:
- Workshops, keynotes and events offering insider analysis, context and connections; global insights you can’t afford to miss
- The GREAT British Showcase – featuring a roll call of the most innovative UK-based products and services presented in association with UKTI
- The IFB Business Club – offering access to all areas of business services and support, meet the buyer and ‘matchmaking’ opportunities
There will also be a number of inspiring talks from some of the world’s most prominent business figures such as Former President of South Africa Frederik Willem de Klerk, and Edmund Strother Phelps, Winner of 2006 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.
TEDx Liverpool (26th June, Exhibition Centre)
As part of IFB2016, the fifth TEDxLiverpool will provide a rare opportunity to zoom out and get an essential snapshot of where the future may be headed for technology, science, design, entertainment, media, entrepreneurship and a wide variety of other fields.
Past TEDxLiverpool speakers have included Harriet Minter (The Guardian), Kathleen Beedles (Producer on several soaps, including Eastenders), and Steve Clayton (Microsoft), who will return for this year’s event.
He will be joined by a range of fascinating speakers including philanthropist Bernie Hollywood, Northern Ballet and the Royal Ballet School pianist Haley Parkes and star of BBC’s ‘Doctor in The House‘ Dr Rangan Chatterjee.
With such an amazing line-up, TEDx promises to be one of the highlights of 2016’s IFB.
